Uhkua is located in the FInnish countryside by Lake Saimaa in Mikkeli region, about 50 kilometers from Mikkeli city center. It's a place where everyday life slows down and nature sets the rhythm.

Here the focus is on simple: meaningful experiences in nature. Accommodation is available on floating raft, offering a rare opportunity to stay right on the Lake Saimaa. Guided nature experiences and small-group food services bring guests closer to the nature and local way of life. Camping equipment is also available for rent. Sustainability is present in every detail, with a strong emphasis on local and homegrown ingredients.

Ready-made experience packages make it easy to enjoy the outdoors, while guided activities can also be tailored to individual wishes. Options include camping, hiking, paddling, snowshoeing, fishing, foraging, sauna experiences and outdoor dining in nature. These can be combined in many ways depending on the season and preference.

Floating accommodation offers a chance to fully disconnect from everyday routines. The accommodation raft and sauna raft are built from recycled materials and reached by rowing boat. There is no electricity or running water. Compost toilets are available on both rafts, and terraces open directly to wide lake views. A basket of local delicacies can be delivered as an extra experience.

Alongside the raft sauna, you can heal also in an old log sauna or rent a portable tent sauna and seat it in suitable natural locations. These saunas are ideal for small groups of 4–6 people.
